What is Kyoh®?

Kyoh® is a scientifically developed extract obtained from the leaves of Eruca sativa, characterized by a well-defined phytochemical composition and standardized to contain more than 1.5% Erucosides®, Pharmactive’s proprietary complex of flavonol glycosides naturally occurring in rocket leaves. Using HPLC analytical methods, Kyoh® delivers a consistent flavonol glycoside profile ranging from 1.5% to 3.0%, primarily composed of quercetin, kaempferol, and isorhamnetin derivatives, supporting high batch-to-batch uniformity and quality consistency.

The flavonol compounds naturally present in Kyoh® have been investigated for their antioxidant properties and their involvement in biological processes related to follicular activity, including pathways associated with cellular defense and hair follicle support*.

Follicle-focused biological research

Kyoh® was assessed in a recent in vitro investigation using cultured human dermal papilla cells, a well-recognized model in hair follicle biology research.

The study findings showed increased expression of VEGF and FGF7, signaling pathways involved in follicular physiology and hair follicle activity*. Kyoh® also demonstrated activation of NRF2-associated antioxidant pathways related to cellular defense mechanisms and protection against oxidative stress*.
